Supports the Jimmy V Cancer Foundation
The brothers of Delta Chi are on a mission to raise money for the Jimmy V foundation. The Delta Chi Fraternity has been donating to the Jimmy V Cancer Foundation for years. The Jimmy V foundation was organized 15 years ago by ESPN and Jim Valvano. Jim Valvano was a passionate NC State basketball coach, an award winning broadcaster and he himself battled cancer. It became Valvano's vision to make a foundation to raise money to help those fighting cancer like him. If you want to know more about the Jimmy V foundation you can look them up on the web at http://www.jimmyv.org/ or check out our booth in the great court. Today our fraternity supports this organization, and to do so our chapter has organized a 50-50 raffle. We will be selling tickets for one dollar a ticket or six tickets for five dollars. Half of the money goes towards the winner of the raffle, while the other half will be donated to the Jimmy V foundation and will go towards grants and research for medical breakthroughs that will hopefully cure cancer. We will announce the winner on ninth week at lunch, and contact them via a phone call. You are welcome to come to check out our booth to find out more about Jim Valvano, his legacy, his foundation, our participation, or for a ticket in the raffle.

Cancer Cure

This is a great idea since people love to gamble and it helps a great cause to help find a cancer cure. Someone also has a chance to win some money.
