The Boondock Saints II: A Review

Issue date: 3/2/10 Section: Entertainment
The Boondock Saints II was full of events that completed and counter acted with the first movie. This was an exciting sequel that brought the brothers back to the big screen with an interesting reason for them to come out of hiding in their homeland, Ireland. The sequel begins with a murder of a priest in his church in Boston. This murder took place for one reason: to bring the brothers back to the United States of America for vengeance.
In The Boondock Saint II, they tried to show how every little detail, like how big of a rule the media plays in over doing the truth for example. They are a trying to make a mountain out a one sand grain; the media has always exaggerated with the news so they can get the peoples' attention even though some of it could be a lie. The exaggeration of the media is not the only thing the show the light on. The belief that the brothers are doing the right thing, even though they are killing another human is though of as good and that's lead for the question: Is it okay for a human to kill another human based on their actions? But I will leave that for next time.
The brothers themselves believe that what they are doing is right, even when they have doubt in what they are doing after two of their best friend died in the present and past movies. They doubted if they were really doing the right thing and not just for their own pleasure. They dreamed of their friend "The Funny Man" Recco, and they had a long conversation about the good they are doing and that they should keep going, and not stop because "Men build things, then we die. It's in our f***ing DNA! THAT'S WHAT WE DO!... And when it all falls down?... We build it right back up again… But this time bigger. BETTER!"
Over all The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day was a great movie, not just for the returning fans, but also for first time viewers as well. The returning fans have enjoyed seeing the brother on the big screen again, that also goes for the new fans who will for sure go home and watch the first one, then the second one again to get the full experience.
